Greetings! My name is Maggie. I am 28 years old and live in Missouri.
I grew up in a small rural town in northwest Missouri. I was raised by a single mom and have a brother who is 13 years older than me. I come from a big crazy family. We love to get together where there is always laughter, memories, food and beer.
After I graduated high school in 2003, I experienced what I like to call my "dark years." I partied hardcore and dropped/flunked out of two colleges. I had shut God out of my life and was pretty much miserable.
In 2005, on a whim I decided to move to Atchison, KS and go to nursing school. God laughed heartily at those plans and instead I gave my heart fully to Christ and embraced the beauty of the Catholic Church. I became a student at Benedictine College in Janurary of 2006. You can read my reversion story here.
At Benedictine I met this handsome fellow-
Ryan and I dated for about a year and then got engaged in November of 2007.
We celebrated the sacrament of matrimony at his family's church on April 18th, 2009.
We began our married life in a small town in central Missouri. It was far away from our family so life was diffiuclt at times. I was never able to find a job so I jumped into the role of wife and homemaker.
In July 2009, just three months after we were married, we were overjoyed to learn that we were pregnant. However, when I thought I was 8 weeks along my doctor told me that the baby growing inside me had died at about 5 weeks gestation. We got this horrible news on August 28th, the feast of St. Augutine of Hippo, so we named our little saint Gus.

The loss of our first child was a painful time for us, but by the strength of God we were able to endure. God was quick to bless us. In Janurary I found out I was pregnant once again.
I had a smooth pregnancy up until the last couple of months and then I developed severe pre-eclampsia. I was induced two weeks early. The induction failed and I ended up having a c-section. On September 2, 2010 Joseph Ryan Edward entered the world. He has definitely turned our world upside down in a spectacular, awesome way. He always keeps us entertained and has blessed our lives immensely!
We welcomed Samuel on August 6, 2012. He is a cute squishy ball of newborn goodness! It has been quite the adventure adjusting to life with two kiddos!
Ryan is an assistant manager at a plumbing supply company and I stay at home with Joe and Sam. I am currently in the discernment process of going to nursing school.
Ryan and I are madly in love and we are crazy about our little boys. All we want to do with our lives is to glorify God and get to heaven.
Thanks for stopping by!
